This Fluval 407 Canister Filter ANNUAL Maintenance Kit Bundle contains all the media & replacement parts Fluval recommends for replacement on an annual basis in order to prevent reduced filter performance or sudden failure.
Be sure to unplug your filter before cleaning. Replace your media with all the included media. This includes the Quick-Clear Water Polishing Pad & Carbon, which should be replaced every month, and the Bio-Foam Value Pack (Bio-Foam, Bio-Foam Max and Bio-Foam+), which should be replaced every six months. Also replace any Ammonia, Phosphate and Nitrite pads you are using (all not included). You should replace only half of your BioMax every six months (BioMax included).
The Inland Seas Super Lube is for greasing the Motor Head Gasket, AquaStop O-Ring Gaskets, and Primer Assembly with Primer Cover. Clean before greasing. In three months you will want to get the Fluval 306/307 406/407 Canister Filter Monthly Maintenance Kit or the Fluval 306/307 406/407 Canister Filter Monthly Maintenance Kit PLUS Package.
